Tasty food doesn’t always need to be complicated. Sometimes, quick and easy recipes prepared by using a few simple ingredients create such awesome flavors that it becomes a regular in your kitchen.
I have spent the major part of my life as an adult in Delhi/ NCR. Delhi is the city where I got my first job and I have spent some very beautiful years in this city which is very famous for its street food. I remember spending almost the entire amount of my first paycheque buying cakes, pastries, and other yummy treats from a bakery near my office. Thankfully, it was just 10 day’s salary as I joined towards the end of the month otherwise I could have spent the full month’s salary too.
Today’s recipe is a very simple street food from Delhi- Shakarkandi ki chaat (Sweet potato chaat). Though generally in Delhi, green- mint coriander chutney is also added to it, I like to keep it simple at home as I eat it as a quick snack that can be prepared without much effort. If there is mint chutney in my fridge, I definitely add it but it tastes great even without it.
Just make sure to eat it steaming hot.
