  • 1 red onion sliced
  • 4-5 stalks of spring onion roughly chopped, keep white ad green parts separated.
  • 3-4 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 1 small piece of ginger finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon roasted white sesame seeds
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper adjust to taste

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  • Heat vegetable oil and sesame oil in a large wok or pan.
  • Add chopped ginger, garlic, the white part of spring onion, and sliced red onion. Saute on a high flame until the onion turns translucent.

Notes

  1. You can use any type of noodles to make this recipe.
  2. Don't slice the cabbage very thinly for using in cabbage ramen. Roughly chop in slightly big pieces which you can see, chew, and taste with the ramen.
  3. For me, the saltiness of soy sauce is enough in this dish, if it's not savory enough for you, add some salt or increase the amount of soy sauce.
  4. You may add more vegetables like bell pepper, snow peas, carrots, and mushrooms to this stir-fried ramen.
  5. If you want a spicier cabbage ramen, drizzle some chili oil on top.
  6. You may also add some toasted sesame oil in the end for extra flavor.
  7. Always use a large wok or skillet for stir-frying so that the ingredients get stirred easily.
  8. Stir fry on a high flame.
