Knife to chop cilantro
5 slices bread 5 tablespoons grated mozzarella cheese ¼ cup softened butter salted 2-3 large garlic cloves minced ½ cup chopped cilantro ½ teaspoon red chili flakes Ground black pepper to taste Salt to taste
In a bowl, mix butter, cheese, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, red chili flakes, ground black pepper, and salt to make a smooth spread.
Spread the butter mix on each bread slice.
Place the buttered bread slices on a baking tray lined with a baking sheet.
Bake in a preheated oven for 8-10 minutes at 180°C (or, 350℉) until the cheese melts and starts getting brown patches.
Both slated and unsalted butter are fine to be used. If using salted butter, add extra salt carefully.
Adding cilantro is optional, you may skip it too or replace it with your choice of herbs.
You may add other ingredients like boiled corn kernels, sauteed mushrooms, etc to the butter.
Feel free to use any melting cheese of your choice. I have mixed cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
You may change the baking time depending on how crisp you like your cheese toast.
