Easy Corn fritters

These delicious Indian style corn fritters are very easy to make and require only a few basic ingredients. Loaded with corns, this vegan and gluten-free appetizer is crunchy and flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sweet corn kernels
  • 4 tbsp chickpea flour
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 finely chopped green chili adjust as per taste
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • ¼ cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 1.5 tbsp lime juice
  • ¼ teaspoon red chili powder adjust as per taste
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  • Put half of the corn kernels (1 cup) in a grinder and grind coarsely.
  • In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients except oil.
  • Heat oil in a pan and drop small equal portions of the mixer in it. Fry till they become golden brown from both the sides.
  • Serve hot with any chutney or dipping sauce of your choice.

Notes

Use sweet corn kernels in this recipe. Fresh, frozen, or canned all are fine to be used.
