Knife and chopping board
250 grams button mushrooms ½ tablespoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning ½ teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon ground black pepper adjust to taste Salt to taste 1 tablespoon olive oil
Clean the mushrooms and cut them into halves or quarters.
Put olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix.
Add mushrooms and toss until the mushrooms get evenly coated with the oil mix.
Spread the mushrooms in the air fryer basket.
Air fry for around 10 minutes at 200℃ or 400℉, tossing halfway through.
Transfer the air-fried mushrooms to a serving bowl. Squeeze fresh lemon and enjoy.
Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. Mushrooms cook more evenly when arranged in a single layer.
Shake the basket halfway through cooking for even browning.
Smaller mushrooms can be left whole, while larger ones should be cut into bite-sized pieces.
Non-vegans may add grated Parmesan cheese during the last minute of cooking for extra flavor.
Toss with balsamic vinegar after cooking for a delicious, tangy finish.
Add a pinch of smoked paprika or red pepper flakes for a smoky or spicy variation.
For a garlic lover's version, add freshly minced garlic cloves along with the seasonings.
For an Asian-inspired version, add a splash of soy sauce or coconut aminos before air frying.
If you like crispy edges, cook the mushrooms for an extra minute or two.
Experiment with different herbs and spices to create different flavors every time you make them.
The cooking time may slightly vary depending on the size of your air fryer.
