Notes
To get maximum juice out of your lemons and oranges, roll them on a flat surface before cutting and squeezing.
For extra orange and lemon flavor, you can blend their zest too.
You can also add a small piece of ginger while blending the lemonade to add a spicy kick to this delicious drink.
The amount of sweetener required in the recipe will vary depending on the sweetness of your oranges and lemons.
For the Indian-style orange lemonade, also add a little ground black pepper, black salt (kala namak), and chaat masala to it.
I like orange and lemon pulp so have not strained the lemonade but if you don't like that strain the lemonade before serving.
Adding mint leaves is optional, you can skip them too.
Use only delicate leaves of mint, not the stem. Stems are sometimes bitter and may spoil the lemonade.
Make sure no seeds are left in the juice otherwise the lemonade will turn bitter if the seeds get blended.
Instead of adding water, you can add sparkling water or soda too.
Add ice cubes just before serving otherwise, the lemonade will get watered down by the melting ice.
Follow the same recipe to give a delicious twist to your regular lemonade and create different versions like strawberry lemonade, peach lemonade, raspberry lemonade, blueberry lemonade, or watermelon lemonade.
