Ingredients needed to make peach upside down puff pastry
To make peach upside-down puff pastry tarts, you will need the following simple ingredients:
Ingredient notes and substitute suggestions
- Puff pastry: I have used pre-cut puff pastry squares. You can use a sheet of puff pastry and cut it into puff pastry squares or rectangles of desired size. Both homemade and store-bought puff pastry are fine to be used in this recipe.
- Peaches: Use juicy, fresh peaches. Nectarines can be used too.
- Spices: I have flavored these peach tarts with cinnamon and ginger powder. You can also use other ingredients to flavor them like vanilla extract, ground clove, nutmeg, etc.
- Honey: You may also use maple syrup or agave syrup to sweeten this peach dessert.
- Powdered sugar: Adding powdered sugar on top of peach pastry puff is optional. You can skip it if you want. Or, sprinkle brown sugar or drizzle some sugar glaze on top.
- Canola oil: Brushing the pastry puffs with oil is optional. Instead of oil, you can also brush it with milk. Egg wash can be used too if you eat eggs.

Serving peach puff pastries
Serve these puff pastries warm or at room temperature.
You can enjoy them on their own or, serve them with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream. Peach and vanilla ice cream are my favorite to serve with this delicious dessert.
I also love having them with a cup of tea, especially Moroccan tea.
Storing, freezing, and reheating
These puff pastries can be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated for 4-5 days.
You can also freeze them. To freeze, place them on a baking tray in a single layer and then freeze for 3-4 hours or until frozen well. After that, you can put them in an airtight freezer-safe container or zip-lock bag and put them back in the freezer. They will be fine for 3 months.
To reheat, microwave. Or, put it in the oven at 180℃(or 350°F) for around 10-15 minutes or until heated through.
